Last night, we talked about sending an explicit message to members inviting them to get involved with this leadership group (whatever it is that each of us is comfortable calling it, because we've all been using our own words). While David felt that membership had been invited to participate on this higher level, I didn't feel that I (as a member) had received an explicit invitation to participate either on the board or on workgroups/committees except that I stepped up and said "I can do more." Perhaps that message came and I didn't hear it, but regardless it was agreed that it wouldn't hurt to send an explicit invitation to get involved.

So, here's the message I've drafted about that; please provide feedback ASAP as we'd like to send this out with Greg's reminder tonight about the event on Saturday.

"The Denver Cooperative Market is actively seeking a space to make a storefront a reality, and a small group of volunteers is currently working on developing aspects of that storefront including location research and scouting, developing an outreach plan, updating the business plan, and developing an initial board of directors. To lend your time and talent toward a future storefront, please consider volunteering for a workgroup or nominating yourself for the initial board of directors.
