Though insufficient Human Rights may not seem a pressing issue in modern-day Colorado, it is an ever present specter in our communities. Whether it's a homeless man sleeping beneath an underpass or a slur scribbled across a wall, Coloradans experience a stunning disparity of circumstances. In the committee meeting, we delineated four main facets of Human Rights: basic needs, basic protections, equality and acceptance, and education. We hope to address these issues in COYAC, especially where they concern youth.
