Has anyone read the book Uncharitable?
Dan Pallotta has authored a book about the constraints placed upon the nonprofit/charitable sector called Uncharitable.

Do you think the nonprofit sector is ultimately hindered by our charitable status? Will our outcomes always be out of reach while we exist outside (or on the periphery of) capitalism?

• We need to use outcomes as a framework for our vision as nonprofits and what we hope to achieve
• We need to demonstrate greater accountability towards stated outcomes
• We should look at developing an overarching logic model that incorporates wholistic, integrated outcomes defined by the sector itself

How do we collaborate on non mission services? What does it look like?

• Funders – interest in infrastructure that results in fair wages, benefits, and work/life balance
• Recognize broader leadership; ie, not only present lifetime achievement awards but also honor other positive leadership examples
• Develop more peer to peer networks
• Create additional peer development opportunities
