Boomer Optioneers
Boomer Optioneers
This group will explore the spiritual, social/emotional, logistical, financial and other practical issues related to aging.
It will provide an open forum where boomers can discuss the impact of medically induced longevity (medical interventions in elders that prolong life, but not quality of life, and may result in considerable suffering, expense, and long term disability) on boomers and their families.
This forum is for boomers who want to connect with others who are interested in:
Better dying, a re-frame of death to a spiritual milestone - a natural, essential phase of human development
Interdependent living, not independent (but lonely) living
Cooperative culture: Ecovillages, co-housing, neighborhood co-ops, etc.
Opportunities for bartering and living better with less
Life long opportunities for spiritual development
Life long opportunities for service, creativity
Life long access to holistic health services

Elder Care and Boomer Well Being
This is a place for you to vent and speak your truth without fear being judged by others. To preserve your anniminity, you may want to choose a log in name that is unrecognizable to anyone... siblings, neighbors, etc.

Exploring Choices About Death
Baby boomers and elders are invited to talk about re-framing death: from clinical failure to spiritual milestone. This initial session will focus on practical issues like quality vs. quantity of life and getting family to talk. It may lead to additional gatherings on spiritual readiness, the societal impact of extreme longevity, etc.
